What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is totally drug-free, surgery-free path to healing the body naturally. Chiropractors focus on the relationship between the body's structure and its functioning. We identify subluxations in the spine that are interfering with proper nervous system communication to the body. We perform gentle chiropractic adjustments to the spine and other parts of the body with the goal of balancing the nervous system, correcting alignment issues, alleviating pain, improving function, and supporting the body's natural ability to heal itself. Chiropractic care aims to address the whole body, enhancing patients’ ability to think, move and perform.

What is Functional Medicine?

Functional Medicine seeks to identify and address the root cause of disease and views the body as one integrated system not a collection of independent organs divided up. It treats your whole system and not just your symptoms.

Is Chiropractic safe for children and babies?

Infants and Children need to be adjusted just like adults. The public sees chiropractors as back doctors mainly but chiropractic care encompasses much more. A chiropractor is trained to find and correct misalignments in the spine called subluxations. Subluxations cause interference to the nervous system which causes miscommunication from the nervous system to the rest of the cells of the body. Dysfunction in the spine can have a wide range of effects on a person’s health. The first subluxation is most often caused by the position in the womb or the birthing process itself. Even the most natural pregnancies and births can cause physical stress on the infant's spine and nervous system, not to mention a birth with interventions like forceps, vacuum extraction or cesarean section. The purpose of chiropractic is to find and reduce stress and interference to the nervous system, allowing the person (infant or child) to experience greater function and an overall improved quality of life. Our doctors work with many infants and children with symptoms related to: colic, ear infections, plagiocephaly, birth trauma, asthma, breastfeeding and latch difficulties, immune system dysfunction, acid reflux, constipation, bed wetting, torticollis, stuttering, seizures, scoliosis. Chiropractic care has been shown to improve dysfunction of the respiratory system, immune system, digestive system, nervous system, etc. by correcting subluxation and improving sprain/strains of a joint space.
