I had just returned from summer vacation. We’d had a great time, but after printing out our vacation photos, I felt disappointed and greatly saddened. I had gained too much weight, and the proof was in the pictures.
I wanted to be a positive role model for my kids and teach them about food and nutrition, so I needed get back on track somehow.
Over the years, I’d tried diets and even the plan with the points. It was healthy, but with all that focus on journaling and counting, I felt like food was dominating my life.
A little while later, I was introduced to Take Shape for Life by my chiropractor. She recommended I try it for 1 month. She informed me that many of her patients were very happy with their weight loss and she was happy that their back and joint pain was gone – she then explained the program to me. She said she could coach me to my weight-loss goals, and I said, ‘Sign me up!’ I knew if she could do it, I could, too, and the rest is history.
My family is impressed with my dedication to the program, and I keep telling them that this way of eating small meals every three hours is the way to do it. I just had my annual physical and, due to the weight loss, my weight-related cholesterol is down!
I am proud of my success, and now that I am a Health Coach, I can be an example to others who struggle with their health and weight!
